How We Create Lasting Change

Build Agency From Within Emotional wellness and mental health are the foundation. We equip students with self-awareness, confidence, and resilience to navigate external challenges.

Create Safe Spaces Gender-transformative programs where girls and boys can express themselves freely, challenge societal norms, and develop authentic leadership.

Engage Entire Communities Sustainable change requires everyone. We train teachers, engage parents, and mobilize community leaders as allies in youth empowerment.

EPN Programs
Five Programs, One Mission, Ensuring Every Child Finishes Strong

  • Happy Period, Happy Girls

A comprehensive menstrual health program that transforms period shame into dignity and confidence. Through age-appropriate education, reusable pad distribution, and safe space dialogues, we equip girls with knowledge and resources, boys with empathy, and teachers and parents with tools to sustain change. Since 2020, we've reached over 22,000 girls and 8,600 boys across 72 schools, ensuring no girl misses school due to her period.

  • The Last Kilometer

An after-school mentorship and life skills club that walks with adolescent girls and boys through the hardest stretch of their educational journey. Through personalized mentorship, self-awareness sessions, and gender-transformative safe spaces, we help students build agency, navigate barriers like early marriage, period stigma, and mental health challenges, and stay in school to reach their full potential.

  • Msichana Camp

An annual five-day transformative holiday camp for adolescent girls aged 9-15 that serves as a launchpad for leadership, resilience, and unstoppable dreams. Girls connect with inspiring women mentors, meet peers from diverse backgrounds, and build confidence through hands-on learning in self-awareness, body literacy, mental health, leadership, and creative expression. Over four years, we've empowered 100+ girls with 90% showing increased self-confidence and goal-setting abilities.

  • Mvulana Camp

A groundbreaking five-day program creating intentional safe spaces where boys can explore emotions, develop confidence, and embrace their journey to manhood. Through mentorship with positive male role models, reflection sessions, and skill-building activities, boys confront societal pressures, build emotional intelligence, and develop the resilience and leadership skills to become purpose-driven young men who champion gender equity and challenge discrimination in their communities.

  • Love Before You Teach

A Train-the-Trainer life skills mentorship program that equips educators with empathy, mindfulness, and practical skills to transform classrooms into places of healing, growth, and inspiration. Through hands-on sessions covering WHO-aligned life skills education, EPN's Life Skills Guideline & Manual, and mindfulness exercises, teachers learn that sustainable educational change begins with holding space for their own hearts before guiding their students through emotional and academic challenges.
